
The Best FIFA Football Awards 2018 took place tonight from the Royal Festival Hall, London.
It is the biggest event in the footballing calendar since the World Cup where all the world’s top footballers and coaches (male and female) come together for one night.
The awards were handed out as follows:
BEST FIFA MEN’s PLAYER 2018: Luka Modric
Cristiano Ronaldo, and Mohamed Salah were also nominated.
Other awards:
BEST WOMEN’s PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Marta
Dzenifer Marozsán nominated.

PUSKAS AWARD WINNER (for best goal of the year with shortlist decided by Marco Van Basten, Miroslav Klose and David Trezeguet): MOHAMMED SALAH: LIVERPOOL v Everton with 37% of the vote but was very much a surprise winner with Gareth Bale v Liverpool in the Champions League final being the favorite.
BEST MEN’s COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD: Didier Deschamps (France)
Zlato Dalic (Croatia) and Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid) were also nominated

BEST GOALKEEPER OF THE YEAR: Thibaut Courtois
Hugo Lloris and Kasper Schmeichel also nominated.

BEST WOMEN’s COACH: Reynold Pedros
Asako Takakura and Sarina Weigman also nominated.

BEST YOUNG PLAYER OF THE WORLD CUP: Kylian Mbappé
